The Greatest Generation Golf Classic

All Are Welcomed!
Executive Leadership Foundation

Executive Leadership Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1986 that promotes ethics in business and society based on time tested and proven Judeo-Christian principles. Concerned with the downward trend of values and the unraveling moral fiber in our country today, ELF seeks to equip individuals within all institutions ... business, family education, government, church... with a foundation for daily decision making based on these principles.

Honoring The Greatest Generation is initiated and overseen by a 501(c) 3 not for profit organization: The Executive Leadership Foundation. The objective of this project is to make known the legacy of the Greatest Generation of duty, honor and country by educating and influencing future generations.

Our goal is to honor veterans of World War II with formal recognition, and produce and archive as many on-camera interviews with veterans as possible. Thus we will preserve their history, their heroism, their deeds, and their perspective in their own words.

This generation saved the world from brutal dictators with dreams of world domination. These veterans stood tall when freedom was threatened. Their dedication to duty won the day.

It is time we honor them publicly while some are still with us. Sadly, more and more are leaving us every day. Time is short, our effort must move forward now.

SPECIFICS

Honoring The Greatest Generation project will hold a series of public events around the state of Georgia at which WWII veterans – selected in their own communities – will be honored in public ceremonies. In addition, they will be presented with appreciation awards from a grateful nation.

These awards include a certificate of appreciation, the first DVD in a series of documentary videos honoring wartime heroics, featuring on-camera interviews with WWII veterans. Also, they will receive the Ruptured Duck and WWII Victory Medal Ribbon.

The Archive

Production of as many on camera interviews as possible will be made with veterans of WWII, and archived for future use by historians, documentary producers, and educators. These interviews will be conducted, edited, preserved, and in addition, shared with the Library of Congress veteran’s program.

Rekindling Patriotism

Patriotism and regard for such values as honor and duty during WWII were taken for granted – they were values shared by all. Today, regard for such values is not widely shared. During WWII, Hollywood and the entire entertainment and communications industries came together and provided patriotic support for our men and women in combat world wide. Sadly, that same sort of support is missing in today’s America.

This project is designed to fill that vacuum by producing a series of inspiring and dramatic videos using the on-camera interviews of WWII veterans. Each will tell their stories of heroism, sacrifice, and noble service as only those who experienced these events can do. The videos will be distributed to civic groups, churches, schools, and other organizations and available for sale on the Internet. This will make these inspiring stories available to as many Americans as possible – letting both young and old hear and understand the experiences of these veterans.
